Pacific Southwest Region (R5) - California, Hawaii and the US Affiliated Pacific Islands

In Region 5, we are actively pursuing new avenues for increasing partnerships and collaboration. We invite you to explore these pages and learn more about our partnership strategy, funding opportunities and upcoming events. All of these efforts are a reflection of the Region’s commitment to seeking innovative ways of doing business differently by utilizing partnerships more effectively.

A calendar of upcoming deadlines makes it easy to stay on top of funding opportunities.

2006 Report on Partnerships Now Available

Cover of the annual report.The 2006 Annual Report on Partnerships in the Pacific Southwest Region is a comprehensive look at the varying roles partners play in the region. The report describes both Region-wide and Forest partnerships, as well as projects spearheaded by State and Private Forestry and the Pacific Southwest Research Station. Ongoing Activities FY06

  • Host the 2006 National Partnership meeting in R5
  • Strengthen relationships with partners (including the National Forest Foundation)
  • Enhance communication networks within the Forest Service
  • Complete remaining 4 forest Business Plans
  • Facilitate partnership/collaboration training opportunties
  • Provide forums and support to facilitate grant development
