Funding Sources
Arts
Grants and other awards are available from the National
Endowment for the Arts which seeks to support works of artistic excellence, advance
learning in the arts, and strengthen the arts in communities throughout the United States.
The David and Lucile Packard Foundation
provides grants to nonprofit organizations in the following program areas: conservation; population;
science; children, families, and communities; arts; and organizational effectiveness and philanthropy.
The Foundation provides national and international grants, and also has a special focus on the Northern
California counties of San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Monterey.
Save America's Treasures
provides grant funding to protect America's threatened cultural treasures, including historic structures,
collections, works of art, and maps and journals that document and illuminate the history and culture of
the United States.
PTT Grants are
offered through the National Park Service National Center for Preservation
Technology and Training and are designed to advance the practice
of preservation and conservation.
