Winter 2005 News
Greetings to all our members of the Partnership Resource Center News List!
The Partnership Resource Center (PRC) is your on-line clearinghouse of information and tools for partnership building and collaboration. We've recently added some new tools, stories and guides to our website to help you make your partnerships run smoothly. Check out the following new additions:
National Partnership Office Ambassador
Woodsy Owl has climbed on the partnership bandwagon and is spreading the message “It's hip to partnership!” Our Woodsy Ambassador is flat and made of felt, so he can travel easily. Follow his adventures on-line as he travels from state to state to meet new Forest Service partners.
Our Future Stewards
The National Forest Foundation and the Heart of Oregon Corps (HOC) are cultivating young stewards to care for the land. HOC enrolls at-risk students in an alternative school and provides them with work and learning opportunities in the National Forests through the “work, earn and learn” program. These students have an opportunity to care for the land while developing positive values and skills. Find out more about this unique program.
Region 6 Volunteer Guide
Now available on-line, the newly revised Volunteer Guide for Region 6 is a valuable tool for those working with volunteers. Use it as a resource for agreements and direction, or as a model for creating your own Volunteer Guide.
The Partnership Resource Center is a joint venture of the National Forest Foundation and the USDA Forest Service. Your feedback helps make the Center a practical, comprehensive, and dynamic resource. Let us know how we are doing and how we can evolve to best meet your needs.
Help us grow our partnership and collaboration community by forwarding this message to your partners and colleagues!
Sincerely,
The Partnership Resource Center Team
