Hurricane Katrina in the PRC Forum
Hurricane Katrina damaged about 19 billion board feet of timber, spread across 5 million acres of private and public lands. Restoring impacted forests will require coordinated efforts between the Forest Service, state governments, and local communities. How can the agency and its partners best work together to address these and other recovery needs? Share your thoughts and ideas on the PRC Forum under the “Hurricane Katrina” section.
New Feature Story
The National Forest Foundation and the Forest Service are teaming up once again to develop a new Mount St. Helens Institute. Find out how this new non-profit is bringing partners together.
