PRC – your on-line clearinghouse of information and tools for partnership building and collaboration.
Greetings from the Partnership Resource Center operations team! We have recently updated many of our pages to make it easier for you to find the information you need. We also have two new inspiring partnership stories to share with you. Here are the latest updates on the PRC:
New Working Locally Page
Finding local support with partnerships is just a click away. The Working Locally page helps you quickly locate partnership information and contacts for your National Forest, Grassland, or Region.
Updated Find Partners Pages
Now it’s easier than ever to connect with potential partners for your stewardship projects. Find Partners includes both government and private organizations focused on promoting partnerships for land management. To make the search easier, we’ve added some new categories: Capacity-building for Partnership and Collaboration and Friends/Interpretive Associations. Take a look and discover a new partner!
New Home Page Story
Stewardship Projects for Seattle Youth on the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie illustrates how three environmental stewardship programs are helping teens from diverse backgrounds learn to care for the land while developing valuable leadership and life skills. This year the Forest Service is expanding the partnership to include more youth programs.
New Success Story
Sedona Friends of the Forest has sprouted from a tiny organization to more than 300 members strong, and assists the Coconino National Forest with trail patrols, trail maintenance, and visitor information services, among other projects. With help from the National Forest Foundation, Sedona Friends of the Forest funded nearly $15,000 worth of projects in 2005. Find out how this partnership has accomplished so much.
Sincerely,
The Partnership Resource Center Team
